Slowly down to the end that you know

Olen alkanut vähitellen arvostaa rauhallisia sunnuntaita. Ne tunnistaa siitä, että lasia ei nostettu liian monta kertaa edellisiltana ja että on fyysisesti mahdollista vaeltaa kauemmaksi kuin omaan keittiöön. Ne tunnistaa myös siitä, että päivän ongelmallisimpiin tehtäviin kuuluu päättää kummat silmälasit näyttävät tänään paremmilta ja tilatakko kahvilassa keskikokoinen vai iso latte. First world problems.

I've acquired an appreciation for quiet Sundays. The kind of Sundays when you haven't raised the glass too many times the night before and actually feel like you could venture somewhere that's further than your kitchen. The kind of Sundays when the most problematic tasks include deciding which glasses to wear and whether to order a regular or a large latte. First world problems.

Here it's never ending, can't remember when it started

Uuden vuoden lupaukseni vuodelle 2012: Yritä palautua uuden vuoden juhlista ennen helmikuuta. Glitter-kynsilakka on päättänyt jäädä asumaan kynsiini ja ravistelen paperisilppua ympärilleni missä ikinä kuljenkin. En edes yritä tehdä mitään järkevää seuraavien viikkojen aikana; aivoni muistuttavat yhtä Leifin taideteoksista. Ne eivät varmasti ole yhtä kauniit, mutta ihan yhtä kaoottiset.

My new year's resolution for 2012: Try to recover from the NYE party before February. The glitter nail polish has decided to live on my nails and I need to brush confetti off my shoulders everywhere I go. I won't even attempt to do anything that involves brains for the next couple of weeks, because my brain looks like one of Leif's artworks. Not as beautiful, but just as chaotic.

When I grow old I'm going to marry someone with the surname Cockayne.
